Andrew January

Andrew January is a fan from the UK active since 2007.
His first convention was D'Zenove, the 19th British Filk Convention, in 2007 when his future wife Emily January was performing a set. He later worked on the websites for Enharmonicon and DiaCon Alley, a 2011 Harry Potter convention.
More recently – and with Emily January – he has been involved in developing and moderating convention Discords for Conversation and Levitation, the 2023 and 2024 UK Eastercons, and for Glasgow 2024, the 2024 Worldcon with a general online tech role for the second two. With Levitation he was also secretary and part of the chair's support group. He was later part of the team that staged Back to Our Futures, an online convention incorporating a timetabled re-watching of streamed programme of Glasgow 2024 with a social gathering.
He runs the fancon.dev Discord server, a space for people to discuss all sorts of tech matters for fan run conventions.
He married Emily January in 2012. Anna Raftery is his sister-in-law.
