R. C. Wingfield was a pro writer, if you can apply that term to the author of a single story, from Hertfordshire active in the 1950s. His sole published work was 'The Mutilants' published in Authentic Science Fiction #47 (July 1954). Jack Keating writing in Etherline #36 (June 1954) assessed it as 'the answer to supersonic jets, only fair'. He was a member of the Supermancon but it's not known if he attended.
