(January 11, 1920 – September 5, 2000 )

Robert Presslie was a pro writer originally from Aberdeen in Scotland active in the 1950s and 1960s. He was the author of about 40 short stories published between 1955 and 1966, mostly in Authentic Science Fiction, Science Fantasy and New Worlds.

Presslie was a member of the Supermancon in 1954 when he was living in Nottinghamshire although it's not know if he attended. The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction and Fantasy says he moved to London around the same year. He certainly attended at least one meeting at The Globe[1] and Ron Bennett later described him as 'one of the personalities at this year's Peterborough Convention'[2], a comment that seems a little prescient as the issue in question predated the convention.

He worked as a pharmacy manager in London. He died in Dudley in the West Midlands.
