(???? – )

Robert 'Bob' Chittock was a UK fan from Norwich active in the 1940s. He was a member of the British Fantasy Society (BFS).

He became a subscriber to Futurian War Digest in October 1942 at which point he was already serving in the Royal Air Force. He joined the BFS at about the same time. He was posted to North Africa and then the Central Mediterranean Force where be encountered Leslie J. Johnson, as recounted in Futurian War Digest #36 (August 1944):

Have exchanged several literary efforts with Les Johnson, & imagine my surprise when I found him in a 'tiffin' queue next to me. I was with a fellow who used to be on the same squadron as Les & the latter was standing right behind me. Of course I didn't have an Astounding under each arm, nor did he, so it was extremely lucky that this fellow recognised Les & an introduction rapidly followed. Needless to say, we had a two-man Convention in the evening.

In British Fantasy Society Bulletin #22 (June 1945). D. R. Smith reports receiving a letter from him in which he explains:

having been round a lot of Europe. Has now come to rest in the desert but fortunately at a camp possessing some of the amenities of civilisation. He hopes the BFS received 100% support (hah!). Worthy of note, incidentally, that the proportion of Services people rallying round has been much greater than that of the civilians.

He is listed in the Directory of Anglo-Fandom of 1945 but not in later directories.
