A. Gascoigne (the A is for Al, possibly short for Alan) was a UK fan from London active in the 1940s. He attended the Eastercon in 1944 and was a member of the Cosmos Club.
He seems to have been a subscriber to Futurian War Digest from about 1941 (his sub was noted as expiring in March 1942) and from 1942 was signed up to receive material from the British Science-Fiction War Relief Society. He was described as a newcomer at the 1944 Eastercon but he'd seemingly been involved with the Cosmos Club since at least May 1943.
he doesn't seem to be in evidence after Easter 1944.
