(1937 – February 7, 2017)
Lars Erik Helin was a longtime Swedish fan who, with Gabriel Setterborg and Hans Sidén founded the Gothenburg Club Cosmos in late March, 1954, and who was the editor of the first two issues of the clubzine Cosmos Bulletin published in respectively April, 1954 — the first proper Swedish sf fanzine — and in November, 1955.
Helin remained a member for years, but was otherwise inactive in fandom; he later immigrated to Switzerland, where he died.
