David Brin

(October 6, 1950 – )

David Brin (born Glen David Brin) is a California pro writer and astrophysicist who mostly writes hard SF. About half of Brin's works are in his Uplift Universe, including the classic Startide Rising. Brin was GoH at the 2007 Worldcon, Nippon 2007. His novel The Postman was adapted into a 1997 film starring Kevin Costner.
