Suford Lewis (née Susan Hereford) was active in LASFS and appeared in Westercon masquerades before going to Radcliffe College in Cambridge, MA, in 1961 and joining MITSFS. She also appeared in a number of Worldcon masquerades, beginning with her first Worldcon, Baycon in 1968.

Now in Boston, she is a founding member of the New England SF Association, and has chaired Boskone. She was a member of TAPA.

She is a computer scientist. Since 1968, she has been married to fellow fan Tony Lewis. They have a daughter.
