(???? -- 1945)
Earl Kay, a Virginian, was an early fan who was one of the many editors of FANEWS[CARD]. He was in the Army during the War, fighting at Anzio. After a spell at home recuperating, he went back and was the last known fannish casualty of WW II going MIA in Germany just days before the War's end. (The records are a bit confusing with some apparently showing his death in 1944.)
