Luxcon
Luxcon 2022 is the 44th Eurocon, held April 7–10, 2022 (50 years from Eurocon 1) at the Centre National de l'Audiovisual in Dudelange, Luxembourg with some support from the 2022 European Capital of Culture programme in the nearby Esch-sur-Alzette.
In late March, Luxcon announced the writer Arkady Martine as "our Guest of Honour" on social media. Phased out before her (however not using the term GoH but circumlocutions like "joining us / honour us with his presence") were Aliette de Bodard, Peadar Ó Guilín, German writer Bernhard Hennen, Femi Taylor ("known for her role as Oola, the dancer in Jabba's palace") and cosplayer Visenya.
The very first convention in Luxembourg was Luxcon 2014 organised by the Science Fiction & Fantasy Society Luxembourg. It became the annual natcon, moving around the little country as it grew.
