Helen Cloukey

Born in Missouri and raised in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, Helen Cloukey was a member of PSFS and an editor of its OO, Variant, in 1947. She attended the 1938 Philadelphia Conference and Philcon in 1947, and authored a number of stories for Fantascience Digest in the late 1930s.
In the Philcon Memory Book, Alexander Phillips described her as an “austere and forceful” lady.
She attended Bucknell University and married Raymond Patenaude in 1945. By 1952 her name was Helen Esther Benedict. She lived in the Bethlehem, Pennsylvania area and was an osteopath. She later moved to New York state where she died in 1965.
