Mary Kolb, a fan living in the Bronx in the 1950s, was a member of the N3F, volunteering in its Correspondence Bureau; she wrote to servicemen offering them stfnal penpals.
Born in Maryland, she had lived in Nashville before moving to New York where she studied dress design and collected cacti. She was married to Allan Kolb.
