(February 16, 1916 – ????)

Niel (not Neil) DeJack, a fan and bookseller from Chicago and South Bend, IN, was active in the 1940s and ’50s. He was a member of the N3F.

Among the cons he attended were the Bloomington Conference in 1942, the First Post-Radar-Contact-with-the-Moon Con in 1946, Midwestcon 1 in 1950 and a number of Worldcons.

At Philcon, the 1947 Worldcon, Oliver "Natural" Saari and Niel "Bones" DeJack ran an infamous poker game in Room 1048 that lasted all weekend. At the 1953 Worldcon, Philcon II, he was accompanied by Marie DeJack, probably his wife.

He served in the Army in Hawaii during World War II.
