Jessie Clinton, née Wilt, was a California fan active in the 1950s and ’60s. Len Moffatt described her in Califania Tales:
Jessie Wilt, a good friend of Rick [Sneary]'s, had been in the LASFS for some time, a quiet young lady who worked for Pacific Press (printer for the LA Times). She and I shared a love of old movies (domestic and foreign) as well as writers like Dickens.
She is listed in the 1950 Fan Directory and co-edited an issue of Shaggy.
She married fellow LASFSian Ed Clinton in December 1957 in Las Vegas; they moved to the BArea, and had son, Anthony (named, like Ed’s pseudonym, for Anthony Boucher). The Clintons were among the parents who supported Walter Breen during the Breendoggle, contributing a strong pro-Breen statement to John and Bjo Trimble’s The Loyal Opposition.
She ran the art show for Westercon in 1963.
Eventually the Clintons moved to Montana.
