William Meyers, a fan active in the 1950s and ’60s, published the fanzine BEM and founded the apa CRAP.

In mundane life, he was one of the founders of The Farm, a Tennessee commune, in 1971. Meyers was born in Tennessee, and educated in New York, San Francisco and Mexico. He wrote for High Times, among other publications.
