According to Jack Speer, she was “a younger girl ... who headed a 'vughu' cult claiming connection with ghughuism.” She and the Cosmic Circle’s Frankfort Nelson Stein, whose existence has been questioned, pubbed the fanzine Ghu all about it in September 1943.

Speer named her as Martha Matley, but the fanzine says Matner. Like co-editor Frank N. Stein, she may have been a figment of Claude Degler’s fevered imagination.
