Discussion Groups

Discussion groups are less formal than panels, and often consist of one person scheduled to lead and whoever shows up. At many conventions, anyone can set up a discussion group merely by signing up. The convention will sometimes provide space and publicize it.
Also sometimes known as Special Interest Group (SIG) or birds of a feather sessions.
