Roger Gregory

Tall, lanky Roger Gregory was an immensely colorful character in that club full of colorful characters in the 1970s and ’80s, Ann Arbor’s Stilyagi Air Corps. He was an eccentric computer guru at a time when computer gurus could get away with being very eccentric indeed.
He had a wardrobe of different colored t-shirts all reading, “Math, Sex & LSD.” According to his roommates, he never laundered the shirts, but merely rotated through them. He was once arrested while holding a large quantity of LSD tabs — so he ate them.
He was a key member of the Xanadu Project, which almost but not quite invented the World Wide Web. He moved to Pennsylvania and the California, chasing the Xanadu dream, along with Ann Arbor fans Chip Morningstar, Moose Lovell, Hugh Daniel and others.
He was married, for a time, to Naomi Reynolds, Ted Reynolds’ daughter.
