Philippa Catherine "Pip" Maddern was an Australian fan, historian and academic. Professionally, she was Director of the Australian Research Council's Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions.

She was also a writer of SF, and was nominated multiple times for Ditmar Awards, winning a Special Committee award in 1977 for the short story "The Ins and Outs of the Hadhya City State".
