Alvar Appeltofft Memorial Foundation

A foundation set up in the late 70s to honor the memory of Swedish fan Alvar Appeltofft. It gives out the annual Alvar Appeltofft Memorial Award. The fund also financially supports fannish projects in Sweden . The foundation used to maintain a large collection of fanzines, but in 2005 the collection was donated to the Royal Library in Stockholm for archival and research. Lars-Olov Strandberg was its first chairman.
