(1) A Fannish Pseudo-Fraternity[edit]

Psi Phi was run by an organization at Michigan State University called the Local Committee and was described as "the Galactic Science Fiction Fraternity". It existed for a short while in the mid 1960s. It was open to college students who had a 2.0 GPA or better, had dues of 50 cents per year. Applicants were sent a quiz to determine eligibility.
