(May 24, 1920 – March 25, 1989)

Hyacinthe Hill was the penname of Virginia Rose Anderson[1] (née Cronin) a New York poet whose work appeared in fanzines such as Spaceship and Yandro, in the 1950s and ’60s. She was a contributing editor to some issues of Destiny.

Raised in the Bronx, she married John L. Anderson in 1940. She received her M.A. from Hunter College in 1965, and worked as an English teacher starting in 1969.
