The Inkpot Award is given each year at the San Diego Comic-Con for pro achievement in science fiction and fantasy, comic arts, animation, film/TV, and service to fandom.
The award consists of a plaque with a statue mounted on it.
There are no set number of winners per year. The awards have been given since 1974. Forrest J Ackerman, Ray Bradbury, and Bjo Trimble were among the first winners. Subsequent winners included Jack Kirby, Stan Lee, Jim Harmon, Jerry Siegel, Joe Shuster and Cory Doctorow.
