A hotel in Crystal City, VA, the site of Disclave 24 over Memorial Day weekend in 1980. It earned the nickname of Hostility House from attendees.
Among other things, con supplies were stored in a locked hotel closet. The only employee with a key left for the weekend and the hotel refused to call him back to open it.
A number of fans who had guaranteed their room reservations with American Express cards and were refused accommodations. They complained to Amex, which found them rooms elsewhere. On Tuesday, Amex representatives came and scraped all their stickers off the hotel.
