A successful bid to hold the 1967 Westercon in Los Angeles. It was chaired by Ted Johnstone, with Bill Ellern as Treasurer, Earl Thompson as Secretary, Dwain Kaiser running publicity.
They announced in advance that if they won, their GoH would be Marion Zimmer Bradley and their Fan GoH would be Young Fandom. (By the time they actually ran Westercon 20, this had changed to Lon Atkins.)
Their opposition was Burlingame in '67 and Berkeley in '67. They won, and went on to run Westercon 20. See 1967 Westercon Site Selection.
