A. J. Savage was a UK fan from London active in the early 1950s. A leflet received by John Gutteridge identified Savage as the secretary of an organisation called the BSFA, predating and unrelated to the current BSFA formed in 1958, which at one point claimed nearly 200 members while existing outside the awareness of wider fandom. However, they seemed rather haphazard about answering correspondence. After being the subject of a degree of fannish curiosity around 1951–2 the Association was not heard from again.
