Lucius Shepard

(August 21, 1947 -- March 18, 2014)

SF/fantasy/horror author who also wrote in other genres who lived in Portland, Oregon. He began publishing in 1983; and his first novel, Green Eyes, appeared in 1984. At the time, he was considered part of the cyberpunk movement.
