The "Khatru Symposium of Women in Science Fiction" started in 1975. It was conducted by mail and was published in a double issue (#s 3 & 4) . Participants were Suzy McKee Charnas, Samuel R. Delany, Virginia Kidd, Ursula K. Le Guin, Vonda N. McIntyre, Raylyn Moore, Joanna Russ, James Tiptree, Jr., Luise White, Kate Wilhelm, and Chelsea Quinn Yabro, and Jeffrey D. Smith, the editor.
