Science Fiction Saturday (EVCON) was a fund-raiser held during the VCON hiatus in memory of Vancouver fan Evelyn Beheshti who, before she died of AIDS, had helped to found the Positive Women's Network. It was held May 27, 1995 at the Biltmore Hotel in Vancouver, BC.
The GoH was William Gibson who was just back from a multi-day tour of various world cities promoting his movie Johnny Mnemonic.
