Gary Robe is a southern fan, winner of the Rebel Award in 1996. He was a member of the Western Kentucky University Speculative Fiction Society and the SFPA (of which he served as OE). He was one of the founders of Concave and chaired Concaves 1-30. He is married to fellow fan Corlis Robe. He was a member of the Louisville in '94 Worldcon bid.
