File 770 is a long running general newszine published by Mike Glyer since January 6, 1978. It reports on pros, media, clubs, conventions, fannish projects, fans, fanzines and sf awards, and publishes obituaries and controversial articles. It currently exists as a weblog. While once very fan-oriented, it now concentrates more on sf, pro and media news.

It was named for the legendary party held in Room 770 at the 9th Worldcon, Nolacon, held in in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1951. The party ran continuously for two days and upstaged all the other events to the extent that it is the only event widely remembered.

Awards and Honors
File 770 has won the Hugo Award for Best Fanzine six times and has been nominated more than twenty five times.
