A convention in the Bay Area since 2011 which is "a literary-themed, conversational West Coast SF/F con. Each year we chose a new theme and invite Honored Guests (ranging from writers to scientists and artists) whose work exemplifies the theme."
The "FOG" in FOGcon is a pun on Bay Area fogs and the acronym for Friends of Genre (along with the Speculative Literature Foundation) one of the two sponsoring organizations.
It apparently went into hiatus during the Covid-19 pandemic, running a series of small online events and hopes to run an entirely online convention in 2023. One or both of its sponsoring organizations appears to be shutting down.
