Nnedi Okorafor is the working name of Nnedimma Nkemdili Okorafor-Mbachu, an American writer of science fiction and fantasy. Born in Cincinnati, the daughter of Igbo immigrants, she was reared partly in Nigeria and considers her work to be Africanfuturism.
