Wisconsin Fandom ad.jpg

This is an adumbrated (probably) hoax bid which never actually materialized. In the late ’50s, a group calling itself Wisconsin Fandom put an ad in the 1958 Solacon PR 3 announcing a Bheercon bid for by 'Milwaukee's Spree in 'Seventy-Three' ... but in the meantime, vote for the Chicago: 1959 bid.

It's unclear if “Wisconsin Fandom” was a formal group or just a bunch of fans living in Wisconsin, but Phyllis Economou, Arthur Economou, Bill Steaffens, Pat Steaffens, Dean Grennell, Jean Grennell, Michael Nimtz, William Newmann, Bob Bloch, Marian Bloch, Joe Rupp, Jr., and Curtis Janke were listed.

This appears to be the last fandom heard of it (see 1973 Site Selection results.)
