Born in Connecticut of musical parents, filker Ed Stauff grew up in a house full of musical instruments, all of which he eventually learned how to play.
He is married to fellow filker Mary Ellen Wessels, whom he met at a music convention in 1995. He was "Choirmaster" of ConCertino '03.
