James Raymond Frenkel is an American editor and agent of SF, fantasy, thrillers, and other books, formerly for Tom Doherty Associates (Tor Books and Forge Books). He is married to the SF author Joan D. Vinge.
He has edited numerous prominent SF authors such as Vernor Vinge, Joan D. Vinge, Frederik Pohl, Andre Norton, Dan Simmons, Jack Williamson, and Greg Bear.
