Roger Sherman Hoar a Massachusetts state senator and assistant attorney general, wrote SF under the pseudonym of Ralph Milne Farley. in the early 1940s, he was a member of the pro writers club, the Milwaukee Fictioneers.

Some of Farley’s stories — maybe most — were collaborations with Hoar’s daughter, Caroline Prescott Hoar. Farley is known principally today for his An Earthman on Venus (1950).
