The Checklist of Fantastic Literature was the first book-length bibliography of SF, fantasy, and weird literature to be published.

The first edition was published by Shasta Publishers, founded for the purpose of publishing this book, in January, 1948, with 600 copies printed.

Edited by Everett F. Bleiler, it had a Preface by Melvin Korshak. Hannes Bok did the artwork for the dust jacket.

For years it was known in SF fandom as The Collector's Bible.
