The 1984 Best Semiprozine Hugo was presented September 2 at LACon II.

This was the first year that the Best Semiprozine Hugo was awarded.

Starship edited by Andrew I. Porter received enough votes on the nomination ballot to appear on the final ballot, but was withdrawn by the editor.
