A successful bid to hold the 1967 Westercon in Los Angeles. It was chaired by Ted Johnstone, with Bill Ellern as Treasurer, Earl Thompson as Secretary, Dwain Kaiser running publicity.
The announced in advance that if they won, their GoH would be Marion Zimmer Bradley and their Fan GoH would be the symbolic "Young Fandom". (Note that by the time they actually ran the convention, this latterhad changed.)
Their opposition was Burlingame in '67 and Berkeley in '67. They won, and went on to run Westercon 20. See 1967 Westercon Site Selection.
