Marvis Royce Manning, an Indiana fan, was a member of the Decker Dillies. He published Pluto with his brother, Vincent Manning,[1] and attended Chicon, the 1940 Worldcon, for which he was on the national advisory board, and the Denvention the following year. He was married to Faye Manning.

Like all the Dillies, the Mannings had gafiated by the end of World War II. He had been a pilot before World War II, and joined the Army Air Corps in 1942. Marvis was a pharmacist by trade; he attended Indiana University and the Indiana School of Pharmacy. The Manning Brothers also had a farm.
