A large stf fandom exists in Germany. Some of its clubs are Eurotopia (a federation of continental SF clubs), SFCD (SF Club Deutschland), Stellaris, and ISFS (International SF Society).
German fandom started in what was then West Germany. WetzCon I was the first German sf con, in 1956. The Worldcon, Heicon, was held in Heidelberg in 1970.
Many early German stefnists were Perry Rhodan enthusiasts.
