Mike Scott, also known as Dr. Plokta, is a British fan who is a member of the Plokta Cabal. He is both a fanzine fan and a convention fan. He has been a member of the Cambridge University SF Society (and was its chair), the Chester & District SF Group and the Warrington SF Group. He led the victorious London in 2014 Worldcon bid and was part of the committee of Fourplay. He was married to Alison Scott from 1986–95 and is now married to Flick.

The Cabal won the 2005 Best Fanzine Hugo and the 2006 Best Fanzine Hugo for Plokta, and also received nominations in 1999-2005 and 2007-2008.
