Mid-America Con 1 was a convention held June 16-18, 1972 in Kansas City, MO. The GoH was Philip José Farmer.

It was the first convention hosted by KaCSFFS and was co-chaired by Ken Keller and Jim Loehr. Attendance was noted as roughly 250 in the con report by Meade Frierson in Locus fanzine issue 115. Attendees included GoH Farmer, James Gunn, Vern Coriell, and Russ Myers.
