Karen (KRin) Pender-Gunn is a SF writer and editor living in Australia who first found fandom around 1985. She was married to the late fan artist Ian Gunn. They were winners of FFANZ in 1993 and GUFF in 1995. She was FGoH at Concave 2 in 1991. She won the Australian Science Fiction Media Awards for Best Fan Writer and Best Fanzine (Pink) in 1995 and Best Australasian Media Fan Writer in 1996 and 97. She has received multiple Ditmar Award nominations.
She chaired Huttcon in Melbourne in 1989, co-chaired Basicon 2 in 1997 and worked on a variety of other conventions. She joined the Melbourne Science Fiction Club in 1988 and has served in a number of offices since. She is a former member of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy club in Sydney.
She edited Pink, 1988-1998 (17 issues); Pinkette, 1995-present (at least 9 issues); and Ethel the Aardvark, Dec. 1998-June 1999.
