The 2020 Coronavirus pandemic is forcing conventions to cancel across the globe from Mid-March onwards. Concentric (Eastercon), Fantastika 2020 (Swecon), Minicon 55, Norwescon 43 and Swancon 2020 the Australian Natcon have cancelled. Mike Lowrey cancelled his TAFF trip.
CoNZealand decided, with less than 5 months notice, to hold a virtual Worldcon, the first of its kind.
