Boskone 8 was a convention held March 12-14, 1971 at the Sheraton Rolling Green, in Andover, MA. The GoH was Larry Niven. It was chaired by Bill Desmond and attendance was 211.

Andover is a distant Boston suburb. Boskone 8 was held there in an attempt to scale down the convention so that the committee, which was mostly also working on Noreascon, the 1971 Worldcon, could handle both.

A special presentation was made to Niven of a massive (though not very large!) chunk of tungsten carbide -- it was declared to be neutronium.
