Westercon 38 was held July 3-7, 1985 at the Red Lion Inn in Sacramento, CA. GoH: James Hogan; FGoH: Paula Christ.
Chaired by Michael Garrells. The convention seems to have been fairly unimpressive, and included multiple incidents of food poisoning as well as preventable injuries.
Oakland won the right to run the 1987 Westercon.
Mike Glyer published a con report in File 770 54, p. 19.
