Chuck Hansen was a fan from Denver, Colorado. He found sf which a child and met Roy V. Hunt in high school. He me Lew Martin in college and the three of them formed the Denver Triumvirate which later published The Alchemist.
He was a member of the Denver Science Fictioneers and the Colorado Fantasy Society
In 1941 he was one of the charter members of The National Fantasy Fan Federation (N3F). In the early 60s he published the fanzine Lurking Shadow. (Amusingly, Denver fandom was so unknown to fandom at large, that many suspected that Hansen (and others) were hoaxes by Olon Wiggins.
