The 2013 Best Short Story Hugo was presented September 1, 2013 at LoneStarCon 3.

- "Mantis Wives" by Kij Johnson (Clarkesworld, August 2012)
There were only three nominees for Best Short Story because of the 5% requirement under Section 3.8.5 of the WSFS constitution.
